For those starting their first degree, a university environment can be a difficult time as students’ come to terms with the more independent existence that university life brings.
Experience has shown that one of the best ways to help new students to settle into their new life is to actively encourage them to form friendships and social networks from day one.
This not only helps them to adjust to their new lifestyle, but acts as a firm basis of support throughout the duration of their programmes. Therefore, in addition to the many services run by staff at NUMed Malaysia, student-led support groups, clubs and societies will be promoted by the University.
